Ricotta and Lemon Cake (Torta con Ricotta e Limone)



Ingredients

  • Flour, 300g
  • Sugar, 300g
  • Ricotta Cheese, 300g
  • Eggs, 3
  • Lemon, 1
  • Baking Powder, 1 and 1/2 tsp
  • Icing Sugar

Method

Grease a plum cake mould or a 22 cm round cake tin and set aside.
Whisk the egg whites to stiff peaks and set aside.
Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Cream the sugar with the ricotta cheese, the juice and the zest of a lemon and the egg yolks.
Incorporate the flour and the baking powder, and then gently fold in the egg whites. Pour the mixture into the plum cake mould or cake tin and bake for about 35 minutes. Let it cool and sprinkle with icing sugar before serving.



Torta con Ricotta e Limone

Ingredienti

  • Farina, 300g
  • Zucchero, 300g
  • Ricotta, 300g
  • Uova, 3
  • Limone, 1
  • Lievito Pane degli Angeli, 1 bustina
  • Zucchero a velo

Metodo

Imburrare uno stampo da plum cake o una tortiera rotonda di circa 22 cm e mettere da parte.
Montare gli albumi a neve e mettere da parte.
Preriscaldare il forno a 180°C.
Lavorare la ricotta con lo zucchero, i tuorli ed il succo e la buccia grattugiata di un limone.
Incorporare la farina ed il lievito, ed infine gli albumi, facendo attenzione a non smontare l’impasto.
Versare il composto nello stampo per plum cake o nella tortiera e trasferire nel forno preriscaldato per circa 35 minuti.
Lasciare raffreddare e spolverizzare con lo zucchero a velo prima di servire.

    is that it is just Perfect,Lovely & Fantastic
    Would be perfect as a base for a birthday cake
    I agree with Juria.
    I dont really know how to cook but this is pretty easy
    YUM.
